I even have garnered a world fame for my advanced, meticulous, and pioneering research, which integrates various disciplines and emphasises the Global South. My expertise lies within the examination of critical issues and frameworks inside Asia, including Southeast Asia, providing an interdisciplinary perspective that bridges theory with real-world applications. One of probably the most recent attestations to my commitment to this field is my upcoming publication within the esteemed “Asian Journal of Comparative Law.” This paper investigates the numerous shortcomings of the present Customer Due Diligence framework. Specifically, it critiques how the prevailing structures might inadvertently contribute to the financial exclusion of vulnerable and marginalised communities, using Malaysia as a case study. Through this work, I aim to spotlight the broader systemic flaws, encouraging legal and policy reforms that ensure equitable access to financial systems for all individuals.
